However Qatar is an Islamic country, alcohol is allowed in five star hotels. At least 80% of hotels in Doha serve liquor even in the day time.  If a person wishing to have a drink he/she should first get a license to buy alcohol. But, when I went to one of the hotels which provide alcohol they only asked me to change my Qatari formal(traditional) clothing and come again, so I can get into the bar. They didn't ask for either licenses or age. There is no good reason why a person cannot enter a wine corner wearing traditional outfit. While, there are more serious consequences from consuming alcohol such as, car accidents, family problems and addiction.
An excellent example is Saudi Arabia, which have more five stars hotels than Qatar. Yet they do not serve alcohol in hotels or anywhere else. Moreover, encouraging Qatari traders to open more regional hotels with no alcohol would help to compensate for the loss from banning liquor. For the reason that, tourists didn't come to enjoy drinking. The reason they came is to see Qatar’s people, culture and heritage.

Nevertheless, there are a number of great actions of the government. In 2012 the government bans liquor in some high-end restaurants inthe Pearl. Because, people were complaining about having restaurants with opened bars in public.

One of the best places to have delicious traditional meals is in” Souq Waqif”. A lot of tourists who visit Doha like to visit Souq Waqif to have a look at Qatar’s old shops and taste its delicious food, coffee, dessert and pastries. Qatar is famous by a number of tasty dishes such as Makkbus, Haluwa Madruba and Rakkak

Al Ruffa Cafe & Restaurant

In the recent years the Amir offered citizens with low-income shops for free (or reasonable price) to enhance their income. A lot of Qataris opened restaurants and small shops to sell traditional food which increased the number of visitors to Souq Waqif (tourists and Qataris) to have good time at those restaurant and cafes. Also, Qatari elderly started going to the traditional cafes to gather and play traditional games.  So it became a good place for elderly people to spend their time. However, sometimes the weather is too hot tourists are unable to enjoy shopping at souq Waqif so the government should make a suitable solution for that like conditioning the internal passages.
